The pop singer Tulisa Contostavlos was cleared for allegedly brokering a cocaine deal worth £800 after the case collapsed today. The star was arrested in June 2013 and charged in December. The judge Alistair McCreath threw out the case, he believed the prosecution witness lied to the court, telling the jury: “There are strong grounds for believing Mr Mahmood told me lies.”
